Social Media Manager – Team Lead
Location: Mumbai

Team Size: 3 members

Reporting to: Brand Lead (Social Media team would be part of brand team)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly creative and data-driven Social Media Manager to lead our brand’s digital presence across platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of platform-specific strategies, digital trends, competitor monitoring, and community engagement. You will be responsible for content planning, brand storytelling, social listening, ORM, and performance tracking to drive engagement and brand affinity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development & Channel Optimization
  • Develop and implement a platform-specific content strategy to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Tailor content formats, messaging, and posting frequency based on audience behavior and platform algorithms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, etc.).
  • Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and content trends to maximize visibility and engagement.
2. Content Creation & Management
  • Lead content ideation, calendar planning, and execution, ensuring a balance of brand, product, and community-driven content.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Eleven Labs, HeyGen, Kling AI) for static and video content creation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality, platform-specific creatives.
  • Ensure that content is optimized for engagement, SEO, and performance across all channels.
3. Performance Analytics & Optimization
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics using tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Brandwatch.
  • Continuously optimize content and campaign strategies based on insights from data, A/B testing, and audience feedback.
  • Measure brand sentiment, engagement rates, and community growth against industry benchmarks.
4. Online Reputation Management (ORM) & Community Engagement
  • Monitor brand mentions, sentiment, and conversations across digital platforms.
  • Actively address customer queries, feedback, and potential crises to maintain a positive brand reputation.
  • Develop proactive engagement strategies to build a strong, loyal community.
  • Implement guidelines for consistent brand tone and response management.
5. Collaboration & Partnerships
  • Work closely with product, brand, and growth marketing teams to align social media with broader business objectives.
  • Partner with influencers, content creators, and brand advocates to expand reach and drive engagement.
  • Coordinate with paid media teams to ensure organic and paid strategies complement each other.

Job Requirement
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience managing social media for brands or agencies.
  • Expertise in social listening tools (Meltwater, Locobuzz etc.) for competitive tracking and ORM.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific content strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and more.
  • Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and creative direction skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Experience handling large-scale social media campaigns and digital brand launches.
  • Best practices knowledge/ understanding of performance marketing, SEO for social, and paid social media strategies is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for emerging tech, digital culture, AI content generation and brand storytelling.
